Benfleet based Wilson Tool & Engineering Ltd has recently purchased a brand new SMEC SL2000 turning centre from Dugard and MTDCNC’s Paul Jones visited the Essex subcontractor to take a look at the new installation.

The E range is called that because they’re economical to buy.  However, Harry Hamlin from Kajul is so impressed with their 1000E and 1350E machines that he feels they’re far from an eco-purchase.

As Kajul’s customers started to use bigger machinery, they need Kajul to make bigger tools to use on those machines.  The answer for Karl Hamlin was the Dugard 2000XP, chosen for its impressive 2m bed, which he then decided to upgrade by adding an extra 2 axes with a Nikken table.

Evridge Engineering in Dartford has made the wise decision to add to their range of Dugard machines, recently taking delivery of a brand new Dugard GTX620 5 axis machining centre.
